Mr. Richard Owens, Draper, Turf Square, son of Mr. Richard Owen (one of the first Calvinistic Methodists in the town of Caernarfon). He was the first secretary of the Bible Society in the town, and he was an able supporter of the Society in its early days, in the face of strong opposition. He married Miss Margaret Baugh, of Llanymynech, who died on the 2nd. of March, 1811, aged 28 years. He himself died on the 14th. of May, 1828. His children by his second wife, Miss Selina Pugh: Thomas Pugh and William Pugh, Caernarfon; and Mrs. Railton, Manchester.
