At a Court of View and Frankpledge held at the Guildhall in the Town and Borough of Carnarvon in the County of Carnarvon in and for the Precinct of the said Town and Borough on the twenty first day of October in the ninth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord the now King and in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight

Jared Jackson Griffith Jones Matthew Morris Edward Ralphs Peter Ellis David Rowlands Thomas Jones William Williams Owen Owens Edward Tuffs Thomas Lloyd Peter Evans and Lewis Evan Jones - The Jurors sworn to enquire between our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Town and Borough upon their Oath present that the Right Honorable Thomas John Lord Newborough late of the Tower House in the said Town and Borough heretofore to wit on the nineteenth day of October in the said ninth Year of the Reign of our said Lord the King and since the seventh day of October aforesaid in the ninth Year of the Reign aforesaid and since which last mentioned day no Court of View of Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Town and Borough has not repaired amended and restored a certain Ancient and Common way called "Love Lane" otherwise Love Lane path leading from and out of the Town and Borough aforesaid along and next adjoining to the Fence of a certain close there called "Cae Henwalia", the said Right Honorable Thomas John Lord Newborough towards, unto and into a certain other ancient and Common Kings highway there leading from and out of the Town and Borough aforesaid unto and into a certain other place in the said County of Carnarvon called "Pont seiont" and being within the Precinct of the Town and Borough aforesaid and within the Precinct of the Leet aforesaid and the Jurisdiction of the said Court of View and Frankpledge for all the Liege Subjects of our said Lord the King desirious of using the same to go return pass and repass on Foot at their Free will and pleasure and which said Ancient and Common Footway called Love Lane otherwise Love Lane Path being within the Precinct of the Town and Borough aforesaid, and within the Precinct of the Leet aforesaid, and the Jurisdiction of the said Court of View and Frankpledge the said Right Honorable Thomas John Lord Newborough before the taking of this Presentment there and within the Precinct of the said Town and Borough and within the Precinct of the said Leet and the Jurisdiction of the said Court of View and Frankpledge had obstructed subverted thrown down dug up and destroyed and the way so obstructed subverted thrown down dug up and destroyed for a long space of time to wit for the space of of eighteen Months next before the said seventh day of October aforesaid in the ninth Year of the Reign aforesaid had continued obstructed subverted thrown down dug up and destroyed and which since the seventh day of October in the ninth Year of the Reign aforesaid since which last mentioned day no Court of View and Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Town and Borough until the time of taking of this Presentment with force and Arms and so forth hath continued and still doth continue obstructed subverted thrown down dug and destroyed to the common nuisance of the People of our Lord the King there by that way desiring to pass and against the Peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity. Therefore the said Thomas John Lord Newborough is amerced Two Pounds and it is commanded to him to repair amend and restore the said Ancient and Common way before the first day of February next upon pain of Three Hundred Pounds

Jared Jackson Simeon Boileau Griffith Jones Matthew Morris Edward Ralphs Peter Ellis David Rowlands John Jones Thomas Jones William Williams Owen Owens Edward Tuffs Thomas Lloyd Peter Evans Lewis Evan Jones William Thomas - The Jurors sworn to enquire between our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Borough upon their Oath present That John Lloyd late of Caernarvon in the said Borough Tanner heretofore and since the seventh day of October in the ninth Year of the Reign of the said Lord the King since which day no Court of View of Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Borough to wit, on the twentieth day of October in the ninth Year of the Reign of our said Lord the King to Wit at Carnarvon in the Borough aforesaid, and within the Jurisdiction of this Court with force and Arms and so forth at the Town and Borough aforesaid and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid called Garddyrafon being the Kings Common Highway by a certain Building there and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid containing in length ten feet and in Breadth ten feet before then erected and Built did wrongfully and unlawfully keep and continue by reason whereof the Common Highway aforesaid hath become and is greatly Straightened so that the Liege Subjects of our said Lord the King upon and through the same Common Highway with their Horses Carts and other Carriages cannot go pass ride and Labour as they ought and were wont to do to the great and Common Nuisance of all the liege Subjects of the said Lord the King in and through the said Common Highway going passing riding and labouring and against the Peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity. Therefore the said John Lloyd is amerced Ten shillings and it is commanded to him that he do remove the said Building before the twenty first day of November next upon pain of Ten Pounds

A presentment of this Court held the 21st. October 1828 against Lord Newborough for a Nuisance and another against John Lloyd Tanner for a Nuisance were removed by Certioraris into the Court of Great Sessions the eleventh day of April 1829

The Jurors sworn to enquire between Our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Borough upon their Oath present That Joseph Roberts of North Gate Street in the said Borough Maltster heretofore and since the seventh day of October in the ninth year of the Reign of Our said Lord the King since which day no Court of view of Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Borough to wit on the Twenty first day of October in the ninth year of the Reign of our said Lord the King to wit at North Gate Street in the Borough aforesaid and within the Jurisdiction of this court with force and Arms and so forth a certain Dunghill near to a certain place there and within the Jurisdiction of this Court called North Gate Street the said place called North Gate Street being the King's Common Highway did wrongfully and wilfully keep and Continue By reason whereof divers hurtful and unwholesome smells from the said Dunghill did then and there arise and thereby the Air there and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid became and was and is corrupted and infected to the Great Damage and Common Nuisance of all the Subjects of our said Lord the King Inhabiting near the same against the Peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and dignity Therefore the said Joseph Roberts is amerced Sixpence and it is commanded to him that he do remove or carry away the said Dunghill before the fourth day of November next upon pain of Five Shillings

The Jurors sworn to enquire between Our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Borough upon their Oath present That David Parry late of Turkey Shore in the said Borough Limeburner heretofore and since the seventh day of October in the ninth year of the reign of the said Lord the King since which day no Court of View of Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Borough, to wit on the Twentieth day of October in the ninth year of the Reign of our said Lord the King with force and arms divers large Quantities of Stones and rubbish in and upon a certain public way there and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid did keep and continue by reason whereof the Common Way aforesaid hath become and is greatly Straightened so that the liege Subjects of our said Lord the King along the Common Way aforesaid cannot go pass and Labor as they ought and were accustomed to do to the great damage and common nuisance of all the Subjects of our said Lord the King inhabiting near the same and against the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity Therefore the said David Parry is amerced Sixpence And it is Commanded to him that the do remove and carry away the said Stones and rubbish before the fourth day of November upon pain of Forty Shillings

The Jurors sworn to enquire between Our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Borough upon their Oath present That Griffith Griffith late of Crown Street in the said Borough Tanner heretofore and since the seventh day of October in the ninth year of the reign of the said Lord the King since which day no Court of View of Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Borough, to wit, on the Twentieth day of October in the ninth year of the reign of our said Lord the King to wit, at Crown Street in the Borough aforesaid and within the Jurisdiction of this Court with force and Arms and soforth did wrongfully and unlawfully keep and continue divers large Quantities of foul Stinking dirty and nasty water before then by him put and placed and caused to be put and placed in and upon a certain public Street in the said Town and Borough and within the Jurisdiction of this Court called Crown Street the said Street being the Common and public King's Highway by reason whereof divers hurtful and unwholesome Smells from the said Foul Stinking dirty and nasty Water did then and there arise and thereby and then and there and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid became and was and is corrupted and infected to the great damage and Common Nuisance of all the Subjects of our said Lord the King inhabiting near the same against the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity Therefore the said Griffith Griffith is amerced Six pence And it is commanded to him that he do remove and carry away the said foul Stinking Dirty and nasty Water before the fourth day of November next upon pain of Forty shillings

The Jurors sworn to enquire between Our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Borough upon their Oath present That Hugh Hughes of Crown Street in the said Borough Butcher heretofore and since the seventh day of October in the ninth year of the Reign of the said Lord the King, since which day no Court of View of Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Borough to wit on the Twenty first day of October in the ninth year of the Reign of our said Lord the King to wit at Crown Street in the Borough aforesaid and within the Jurisdiction of this Court with force and arms aforesaid a certain Slaughter House near a certain Street there and within the Jurisdiction of this Court Called Crown Street the said street being the King's Common High way did wrongfully and wilfully keep and Continue and a great Quantity of Blood dung and other filth from the said Slaughter House there and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid did wrongfully and wilfully permit and suffer to run unto and into the said Common Highway called Crown Street to the Great damage and Common nuisance of all the liege Subjects of our said Lord the King passing and repassing in and along the said High Way or Dwelling and Inhabiting near to the same and against the Peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity Therefore the said Hugh Hughes is amerced sixpence And it Commanded to him that he do abate and discontinue the said Nuisance before the Fourth Day of November next upon pain of Forty Shillings

The Jurors sworn to enquire between Our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Borough upon their Oath present That Owen Owen Roberts of Carnarvon in the said Borough Surgeon heretofore and since the Seventh day of October in the ninth year of the reign of our said Lord the King since which day no Court of View of Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Borough to wit, on the Twentieth day of October in the ninth year of the Reign of our said Lord the King to wit at Glanymor in the Borough aforesaid and within the Jurisdiction of this Court with force and arms and so forth a certain Dung heap near to or at a certain Place there and within the Jurisdiction of this Court called Glanymor (the said place called Glanymor being the King's Common Highway) did wrongfully wilfully and unlawfully keep and continue by reason whereof divers hurtful noisome and unwholesome Smells from the said Dunghill did then and there arise and thereby the air there and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid did become and was and is corrupted and infected to the great damage and Common Nuisance of all the Subjects of our said Lord the King inhabiting near the same against the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity. Therefore the said Owen Owen Roberts is amerced in the sum of Sixpence And it is Commanded to him that he do remove or carry away the said Dungheap before the fourth day of November now next upon pain of Five Shillings

The Jurors Sworn to enquire between Our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Borough upon their Oath present That Humphrey Pugh late of Pool Street in the said Borough Skinner heretofore and since the seventh day of October in the ninth year of the reign of the said Lord the King since which day no Court of View of Frankpledge hath been holden in and for the said Borough, to wit, on the Twenty first day of October in the ninth year of the reign of the said Lord the King with force and arms divers large Quantities of Nasty filthy stinking and foul Skins and Hides in and upon a certain Wall near a certain Street there and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid called Skinner Lane the said Street being the Kings Common public Highway did put and place by reason whereof divers hurtful noisome and unwholesome Smells from the said nasty filthy Stinking and foul skins and Hides did then and there arise and thereby the air there and within the Jurisdiction aforesaid did become and was and is corrupted and infected to the great damage and Common nuisance of all the Subjects of our said Lord the King inhabiting near the same against the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity, Therefore the said Humphrey Pugh is amerced Sixpence And it is Commanded to him that he do remove or carry away the said nasty filthy Stinking and foul Skins and Hides from off the said Wall before the fourth day of November now next upon pain of Five Shillings

The Jurors sworn to inquire between Our Sovereign Lord the King and the Body of the said Town and Borough upon their Oath Present That Elias Williams late of Tanybont in the said Town and Borough heretofore to wit on the nineteenth day of October aforesaid in the ninth year of the reign aforesaid and since the seventh day of October aforesaid in the year aforesaid since which day no Court of View of Frankpledge hath been holden in the said Town and Borough had not removed taken away and pulled down a certain pigstie erection and hovel and divers large Heaps of Dirt and filth which for a long space of time to wit for the space of three years now last past and which since the seventh day of October in the said ninth year of the reign of our said Lord the King were and still are erected standing and being in before and in front of the Dwelling house of one Hugh Hughes situate and being in the said Town and Borough in a certain public Street The said Street being the Common and public Kings Highway there called Tanybont Street and within the precinct of the Town and Borough aforesaid and within the precinct of the leet aforesaid and of the Jurisdiction of the said Court of view of frankpledge and which said pigstie erection and hovel and heaps of dirt and filth the said Elias Williams on the taking of this presentment there and within the precinct of the Town and Borough aforesaid and within the precinct of the leet aforesaid and Jurisdiction of the said Court of View of frankpledge he the said Elias Williams before then had erected built and placed and suffered and permitted to remain and accumulate and which since the seventh day of October aforesaid in the said ninth year of the reign of our said Lord the King and during all that time with force and arms and so forth had continued the same so erected built placed suffered and permitted to remain and accumulate and still doth continue the same so erected built placed suffered and permitted to the Common nuisance of the people of our said Lord the King there by that Street desiring to pass and in that Street dwelling and residing and against the peace of our said Lord the King his Crown and dignity Therefore the said Elias Williams is amerced Sixpence And it is Commanded to him to remove take away and pull down the said pigstie erection and hovel heaps of dirt and filth before the fourth day of November next upon pain of five Shillings
