William Toleman - May 12th. 1824 - Mortgage - 1. William Toleman of Caernarfon, watchmaker and Mary his wife, daughter of John Hughes, decd., of Caernarfon. 2. Rt. Hon. Thomas John Lord Newborough of Glynllifon. MORTGAGE of 6 dwellinghouses in North Tanrallt, Caernarfon, to secure the sum of £91 and interest. Enclosed: LETTER (26 Dec. 1846): Griffith Jones, Yoke House, to Lord Newborough re the above mortgage. The houses are now in the possession of the landlord. NOTE stating that £131.4.6. is due from Mr. William Toleman, Caernarfon. NOTICE of suit in court in a plea of debt by Lord Newborough against William Toleman. (Ref: XD2/6524)

John Griffith - May 15th. 1873 - CONSENT by Lord Newborough to the assignment of the Lease (1 July 1864) of part of Maenofferen, pa.[rish] Ffestiniog, by Annie Marsden, wife of Walter Storkie Marsden of Coventry, watch manufacturer, administratrix of the late John Evans of Dwyryd House, pa.[rish] Ffestiniog, to Robert Davies of Dwyryd House, watchmaker. Attached: NOTE that the original Lease was dated 1 July 1864 and granted to John Griffith, Caernarfon, watchmaker, who assigned to John Evans,, Ffestiniog; John Evans mortgaged the premises to the N[orth] D[enbighshire] Society, who consent to Evan’s administratrix selling to Robert Davies and Davies wants a consent to mortgage from the same Society. Attached: CONSENT (13 May 1873) by Robert Parry, secretary of the North Denbighshire Benefit Building Society to Lord Newborough’s Consent to the administrstrix of the late John Evans, watchmaker, Ffestiniog.
